Python X CNC Beam Cutting Line

Our Python X CNC beam cutting line is the workhorse of our fabrication shop. This automated system handles wide-flange beams, channels, angles, and HSS sections with precision cutting, drilling, and marking — all from data directly exported by our SDS2 detailing department. No manual layout, no templates, no errors.

The Python X processes members up to 60 feet in length, performing cope, notch, mitre, slot, and hole drilling in a single setup. This eliminates multiple handling steps and dramatically reduces production time while improving accuracy.

Precision From Model to Finished Piece

Our detailing team creates the 3D SDS2 model, which generates the NC code for the Python X directly. This digital thread — from model to machine — ensures every cope, slot, and hole matches the design exactly. The result is steel that fits perfectly in the field, reducing erection time and eliminating costly rework.
